Casa de Olivos Responsible Visitor Charter

At Casa de Olivos, we recognise that we have environmental responsibility and we are working hard to protect our planet by encouraging sustainable tourism with our guests.

Ways you can help

Whether here, or at home, you can help ensure we all do our bit to protect our planet and lower our carbon footprint, with just a few simple actions..

Conserve water and energy

•  Switch off lights when going out

•  Switch off fans when going out

•  Remove phone charges from sockets when not in use

•  Close curtains in rooms when sun is shining in, to keep rooms cool

•  Open windows in the evening to let in cooler air

•  Run the dishwasher only when full, and on an eco setting

•  Turn water tap off while cleaning teeth or shaving

Buy local products/ visit and respect local venues

Casa de Olivos helps to promote many charming local businesses to compliment your stay within our area. Please buy locally when you can, and visit local attractions to support our community. This also reduces the impact of transport on the environment. Please respect the local culture and heritage of this beautiful part of Spain, and always try to leave anywhere you visit, in a better state than when you arrived there.

See our experiences page on the website and our guests handbooks for details of local suppliers and places to visit.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

A substantial effort is made at Casa de Olivos to reduce, reuse and recycle. Please do what you can to help us by recycling any waste that you have in the bins provided.

Give the Car a Rest

Leave the car behind, if only for a day, walk or cycle and enjoy the local countryside and towns of Traiguera and Sant Jordi.

Respect Nature

Casa de Olivos is surrounded by beautiful countryside. Whether within our grounds, or in the surrounding area please respect the countryside being careful not to leave any litter, and be conscious of the vulnerability to forest fires.
