Fiestas & Local Celebrations
Tradition, Fire, Music & Community Life
Fiestas are woven into everyday life in this part of Spain. They mark the seasons, honour local saints, celebrate harvests and bring entire communities together — often for several days at a time.
Staying at Casa de Olivos allows guests to experience these authentic celebrations while returning afterwards to peace, space and quiet countryside. Whether you enjoy lively parades, historic re-enactments, fireworks or food-focused festivals, there is almost always something happening nearby.

Valencia – Las Fallas
A world-famous celebration
Las Fallas: 14–19 March 2026
Valencia’s most iconic festival is Las Fallas, a UNESCO-recognised celebration unlike anything else in Spain. Giant artistic sculptures (fallas) fill the streets, daily firework displays shake the city, and the festival culminates in the dramatic burning of the monuments on the final night.
It’s loud, intense and unforgettable — and best enjoyed as a day or overnight visit before returning to the calm of Casa de Olivos. Many guests choose to experience Las Fallas from a peaceful rural base rather than staying in the city itself.
A Balanced Way to Experience Fiestas
Fiestas here are joyful, noisy, colourful and deeply local — but they can also be intense. Casa de Olivos offers the perfect contrast: a place to dip into celebration, then retreat to silence, nature and space.
We’re always happy to share up-to-date local information during your stay, as dates and programmes are often confirmed close to the event.
