Welcome to Casa de Olivos, two charming, adult only apartments in Traiguera
Casa de Olivos is your secluded rural escape where you can disconnect, unwind,
and spend time with loved ones and friends.
This is authentic, rural Spain, away from the crowds of the tourist hotspots
where you have time to move at your own pace and soak up your holiday.
Whether you are looking for the ultimate relaxation by the pool, or want to go cycling or hiking, you've found the right place. Whatever you choose to do, your award winning, four star rated Casa de Olivos is here to start and finish your day perfectly.
Sink into the sumptuous bed linens, float in the pool, and cook up a feast on the outdoor kitchen and barbecue. Our individually designed luxurious apartments have every detail taken care of so you can just focus on you.
And because Casa de Olivos is a Green Tourism GOLD award winner for its sustainable accommodation, you don’t even need to worry about your carbon footprint.
We are carbon negative.
So you leave your footprints by the pool, and not on the planet.
Casa de Olivos is perched on a hillside overlooking the rural town of Traiguera. With historical roots dating back past Roman times, the town is a notable producer of olive oil. Olive and almond groves define the rolling landscape, with some trees planted a thousand years ago or more.
Situated just 15 minutes from the beautiful Costa Azahar with its blue flag beaches, Casa de Olivos is the perfect base from which to explore the rich cultural and natural heritage of The Maestrat from coast to interior.
Personalise your holiday especially for you. Book a massage, professional photoshoot, discover fabulous local cuisine, or learn about painting or pottery. We’ve compiled a number of authentic, local experiences and extras that give you a deeper connection with the local area, or just help you relax and unwind even more.
You’ll be supporting local businesses as well as creating even more memorable moments.
If you like your holidays to be packed with adventure, look no further. The Maestrat is a great destination for cycling holidays, walking holidays, and a wide range of sports besides.
Cyclists have over 100km of MTB routes right outside the gates here, and the local roads are quiet, scenic and provide excellent cycling, especially for professional riders looking for a new destination for winter training.
We are surrounded by beautiful, rolling countryside where you can go on a leisurely walk to start the day, and further afield are national parks and rugged hills to stretch your legs on.
Alternatively, book a Padel court in Traiguera, use the nearby golf course and driving range, go rock climbing, and more.
Just don’t forget to leave time to relax!
Home to people for thousands of years, The Maestrat has a rich cultural history for you to discover. The Roman road ‘Via Augusta’ passes through Traiguera, with many of the local Milennary olives having been planted by the Romans who lived and passed through here. Later, occupation by the Moors gave many of the towns their distinctive architecture still visible today. The region was once home to the orders of the Knights Hospitallers and Knights Templar, and the stories and relics of all these epochs are well preserved and told to modern-day visitors.
The local towns each have their distinct characters, and often specialise in artisanal products. Traiguera is synonymous with pottery and olive oil. Other towns nearby are notable for their wines, cheeses, nuts, honey, cherries and more besides.
What unites them all is their strong communities, and their warm welcome to visitors.
Although we are a Casa Rural in the countryside, you’re never far from a beautiful beach.
From just 15 minutes away by car the Costa Azahar, or Orange Blossom Coast, offers you kilometres of beautiful and well maintained beaches, many of which are Blue Flag awarded.
We love Playa de Fora del Forat in Vinaròs because it’s well sheltered and has the feeling of a cove beach. The bars and restaurants of the Passeig de Sant Pere are just a short walk away, but the pop-up bar on the beach itself is perfect for a cooling cocktail.
Why not explore Benicarló and Peñiscola to the south, or Alcanar and Deltebre to the north. Each has their unique character, but all with Blue Flag beaches and crystal blue water.
Casa de Olivos is a place for you to enjoy, disconnect and forget everyday life.
So we strive to make your stay with us stress-free and as perfect as possible.
"Wonderful place. We were looking for a place to stay to spend a few days relaxing and tranquility and we had Casa de Olivos, in Traiguera. The rooms are very spacious and the swimming pool area is very comfortable. Everything is impeccable and fully equipped and decorated with great taste. The house is in a secluded area but super well connected to the village of Traiguera, shops and beaches such as Vinaròs or more touristy villages such as Peñiscola. Claire and Ed, the owners are lovely and pure kindness. They made everything very easy for us."
Gemma Aloy Chicano, Spain
"I would like to thank Claire and Ed because they have created a cozy, familiar, romantic space, very well cared for, you can find it down to the smallest detail. It's like being at home. I have loved the peace that is breathed, the respect for nature, everything is where it should be. Impressive, really... we were going to spend two nights and in the end we stayed 4 and because we can't stay any longer. Thank you very much to the hosts and for creating this space that fills you with energy."
Esther Fontcuberta, Spain
“It is a place that seemed magical to us due to the beautiful mixture of comfort, intimacy and connection with nature. The interior of the apartment is designed and equipped with so many details, that you can't help but smile when you discover them. The garden is straight out of a movie. There are many little corners with a very intelligent selection of garden furniture where you can enjoy the tranquility of looking at an infinite landscape of hills of olive trees.
During the day it is an ideal garden for sunbathing, and enjoying the views. At night it is a luxury to be able to see the stars having the feeling that it is your own private garden."
